The Nappylady is creating a BUZZ about cloth nappies
Over the past 5 years Cloth nappies have come a long way. They are now easy to use, convenient and trendy. However many parents find them really confusing because there are so many available nowdays.
During this time, The Nappy Lady has been working with councils to set up workshops to encourage parents to give cloth nappies a go and increase awareness about how much waste a baby can produce in their first years of life if disposable nappies are used.
The Original 'Nappy Lady' Cloth Nappy Workshops
Kate Meads AKA The Nappy Lady, set up cloth nappy workshops around the country to help parents choose a cloth nappy style to suit them. The Nappy Lady workshops are run by either The Nappy Lady herself or a fully trained facilitator who discusses all the different styles of cloth nappies.
The Nappy Lady workshops are non branded and are based on nappy styles alone - No brands are promoted, the nappy workshops are run away from retail shops no nappies are sold through the workshops so there is no sales pressure on the parents to buy at the workshop. They are simply an educational tool to show parents their options and to also encourage new parents into a more sustainable lifestyle overall.
Look for The Nappy Lady logo to be assured you are attending an authentic Nappy Lady approved workshop, and not a copy.
Please note there will be no more workshops running for this year but we are currently working on our calendar for next year, we will keep you up to date with our cloth nappy workshops from this page.
Council Nappy Schemes

Waitakere City Council:
These cost $15 and you get to take home a trial pack of nappies valued up to $70.

Waitakere City Council also offer a Nappy Hire Scheme where you can hire a pack of nappies to use on your baby before making a decision on which would suit your needs best. ($60 plus $40 bond for 7 weeks).
